Motherwort

Emotional Benefits:

Used to enhance emotional wellbeing especially in moments of depression or sadness. Can help stabilize emotional fluctuations and give an immediate lift. Can offer a comforting “hug” that soothes a weary heart. 

Physical Benefits:

Best known for its use in helping heart conditions. Can mimic a mild cardiac tonic, helping to regulate heart rhythm and potentially alleviate palpitations. Great for the stomach as a digestive bitter.

Mental Benefits:

May help alleviate insomnia and other sleep disturbances.

Spiritual Benefits:

Motherwort is used for protection against negative energies and to assist us in letting go. Opens the heart to forgiveness and acceptance. 

Folklore:

Known as Lion’s Heart, this herb was used to give people courage. In Slavic mythology, Motherwort is associated with providing protection against the Rusalki who were mystical water nymphs or spirits akin to mermaids. These spirits were thought to leave the water, swing on branches of willow and birch trees and cause harm to villagers. Motherwort warded off their malevolent deeds and calmed these restless spirits. 

Organically grown Motherwort, aerial parts, dried, Organic Grape Alcohol (57% by volume) and Deionized Water.

Take 1 full dropper bulb (approx. 30 drops) up to 3x a day. Best in tea, juice, or water.
